Linwood Dental Care offer a full range of NHS care along with alternative options of treatment which may only be available on a private basis.

NHS dental treatment is free to:

  • Everyone aged under 26
  • Pregnant women and nursing mothers, until the baby is 12 months.

Or if you or your partner are in award of:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income-related Employment Support Allowance
  • Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
  • You are named on, or entitled to, a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate.
  • You are named on a valid HC2 certificate

Finally…

If you are named on a valid HC3 certificate, you may not have to pay for all your NHS dental treatment. HC2 and HC3 certificates are issued under the NHS Low Income Scheme.

Please take evidence of any entitlement to free dental treatment with you to the Practice.

An NHS dental examination in Scotland is free of charge for everyone.

Following a dental examination, we will advise you on any findings, your treatment options as well as the likely cost.

Under NHS regulations, NHS patients who do not qualify for the any of the above exemptions, pay 80% of the NHS treatment costs, up to £384 per course of treatment.
